On the 20th April, Entity Green opened Jordan’s first public recycling collection point at COZMO supermarket in Amman in cooperation with the Dutch Embassy. The collection point provides a much-needed place for anyone who understands the importance of recycling and who separates his/her waste at home to be able to bring it somewhere and know that it will get recycled. Entity Green has long proven its proficiency in recycling and is glad to be able to finally extend this opportunity to the general public to join in the “Recycling Revolution”.

Recycling instructions for the drop-off Centre at COZMO Supermarket

If you want to drop of recyclables at COZMO, we’d like to ask you to separate your recyclable materials at home into the following three categories:

• Paper & cardboard (incl. newspapers and magazines)
• Plastics (bags, packaging, containers, bottles etc.)
• Glass and cans (glass bottles, aluminium & metal cans)

Then just deposit the collected recyclables in tied-up plastic bags into the recycling bins in the top car park. EG staff will be there to help you.

Things to remember:

• Please bring all recyclables in neatly tied-up bags (e.g. re-used shopping bags), and if possible use translucent bags.
• Please make sure to not include any organic waste with the recyclables – i.e. keep all food remains etc. out and ensure that bottles are empty. Recyclables should generally be quite clean.
• Please try to flatten containers as much as you can before putting them into the bins, so they take less space, i.e. cartons, plastic bottles, cans
• Paper and cardboard can be collected in paper bags or cartons, as well as in plastic bags – but not loose, please!
• Juice & milk cartons (tetra paks) can be put with plastic / packaging
